Sony World Photography Awards 2008

The Sony World Photography Awards is a week-long celebration of the photographic culture, history and image. The City of Cannes provides the canvas for these celebrations offering visitors all the diversity, glamor and tranquil elegance the Cotes D’Azur has to offer.Every year, for one week in April, the City of Cannes takes a step back from the moving image and celebrates the birth of film through the photographic medium.Throughout the Palais des Festivals, along the famous Croisette, selected hotels, city landmarks, streets and beaches, will showcase dozens of unique photographic exhibitions, welcoming the residents and visitors of the Cotes D’Azur.
