nix Nikola Stojkovićs Photography And Exclusive InterviewBiography

Born in Belgrade (Serbia) in the summer of 1989, lived in the town of Vranje for more than 10yrs. finished high school of Electro technical Engineering (electronics engineer degree) in Belgrade, now student of Computers Faculty (RAF), part of Union University in Belgrade.

Nikola Stojaković has agreed to answer on a few questions that Session Magazine wanted to know about him. So, here we go:

What is your primary occupation?

Beside photography, my main area of interest is programming. I’m involved into programming for more than 7 years.

Many people would say that I belong to the well known group of people called “Geeks” simply because I’m spending too much time by working on PC :)

How long ago have you taken upon photography?

I’ve been around the scene for few years, looking out for any interesting scene to take picture of.

What kind of equipment you use and why?

chinon CE 5 35mm SLR Nikola Stojkovićs Photography And Exclusive InterviewMy favorite ‘tool’ is Chinon CE-5 35mm film SLR camera. It is designed with built-in electronic auto focus contacts that will permit automatic AF operation when the camera’s shutter release button is depressed when used with the CHINON 35-70mm AF lens. Of course, manual focusing is present. This camera is equipped with CHINON bayonet mount that accepts all interchangeable lenses with the bayonet mount (also compatible with Pentax K-Mount). I’m using Ricoh Rikenon 50mm lens with Hoya Skylight 1B filter at the moment.

My ‘backup’ tool is my digital camera lens built into Nokia n82 cell phone [5Mpx, Carl Zeiss AF with Xenon Flash]. It usually gets the job done.

I am about to renew my photo gear by purchasing Sony Alpha 200w.

Color Vs Black and White.

Most of people would agree that b/w photographs are much better than the color are. They have their unique attractiveness that inspires watchers to imagine and feel the moment of the shot. Although the color photos have much more “life” than b/w do, their quality cannot be compared.

My vote goes to the b/w, that’s for sure!

Digital Vs Analog.

The most important advantage of an analog camera (the reason why most photographers choose it) is the picture quality.

The picture quality that can be achieved with a film camera is very high and the images turn out extremely sharp.

The reason behind this is the chemical reaction which takes place when light from the shutter falls on the film, and as a result an exact, crisp and inverted i.e. negative representation of the object is obtained.
This is not possible with a digital camera.

What inspires you the most? What is your light motive?

I don’t look out for an inspiration. Usually it reveals itself suddenly, and if I don’t have at last my cell phone camera with me, the scene simply fades away.

Are you planning to take upon professional photography any time soon?

I am about to enter Faculty of Dramatic Arts, photography dpt. within the next few years, so I can upgrade my knowledge about the art of photography.

Do you have something to say to our readers?

I hope you will like the pictures shown below! Feel free to post your thoughts :) King regards to the Session Magazine readers!
