There has been a programme on the learning channel,about large snakes.They are saying,and have reports with video evidence that reticulated pythons (one of the largest snakes in the world) will stalk humans and eat you.
I have seen this program twice and I must say it is pretty chilling to think about.I would prefer the polar bear to being caught(bitten), squeezed(bones broken), suffrocated(, and then eaten by a snake
