Everyone has the right to create their own identity but in this case it’s more a matter of showing your inner darkness. These guys just don’t know what good taste is. Even though goth is popular among demented kids these goths are truly one of a kind. They must have had some trauma in their childhood that led them to behave and dress like dark lords. I think the author messed up badly here, as several of those people look really good. The first couple are smart (although the chain is a bit silly), the girl with the blue dress and her partner with the Robert Smith hairdo look good too. The girl in blue is quite *stunning*, and the girl in red after her has lovely hair (really long). Only a few are rubbish.

the first couple are practitioners of a BDSM lifestyle, on top of being of th gothic fashion. in truth, the S&M relationship between lovers can enhance the romance of the relationship, not because of the regarding of slave and master, but because of their dedication to eachother. :3

What gives you the right to say what is appropriate to wear and what is not? Goth is there for people who like the dress style. Yes some of these have gone overboard but not all. There are a few here that look “normal”, I’m guessing you listen to house music and have nothing better to do with your life than look at pictures of Gothic people and laugh because you are so insecure inside your own little world. People have the right to dress how they want to and if i want to go out looking like the princess of darkness, I’m gonna do that! Get a life and stop being judgmental! Lot of the pictures, for example blue haired girl or redhead girl are from the same place as these of guys with the red band. It’s one of European gothic festivals.

To be honest I actually like screamo and metal but I wear normal clothes because I don’t feel the need to dress up in such a ‘unique’ was because I don’t crave the attention which these people obviously do.

Some people are just so desperate not to ‘conform with society’ and want to stand out so much that they just alienate themselves from any public community because most people wouldn’t want to spend time with someone who just gets stared at constantly for their abnormal appearance.

believe it or not, the choice in clothes of most goths is usually influenced more by their creativity and personal taste than by the question “i wonder how much attention this will draw to my massive painnnnnnnn!” it’s the same with any other eccentric. that is how it started way back in ’79 and that’s what has kept it going ever since.

also, the amount of “hot, hot, hot, NOT, ew, hot, not” attitude here is just *wtf*. like, someone can only justify being a goth if they still make you want to fuck them. seriously.
