Anna Bird’s Artwork

By Session Magazine, February 18th, 2009 in miscellaneous | No Comments »

Anna Bird creates a very unique pieces of art. The strongest impression about them is the dark and twisted tone that covers all of her work, but also to sent of love, erotics and powerful emotions. It somewhat looks like a visual realization of the audio produce which is known as “love metal”. I personally don’t have a very high opinion about this sort of music and the things they represent, but since so many people love it, I thought this photos will find their audience, too.

Caves

Here goes an amazing photo gallery of caves in very vivid colors. A cave is defined as a natural underground void large enough for a human to enter. Some people suggest that the term cave should only apply to cavities that have some part that does not receive daylight; however, in popular usage, the term includes smaller spaces like sea caves, rock shelters, and grottoes. The beauty truly lies everywhere, even beneath the surface of the ground.

Pregnancy Tattoos

By Session Magazine, February 18th, 2009 in miscellaneous | 2 Comments »

This kind of tattoos are called the Ainu. Tattoo had quite different purpose in the past, and in some cultures it still keeps its primal function, and that is the protection. Tattoo was used for protection rather than decoration; in particular for protection during pregnancy and birth when woman is exposed to most risk. During a pregnancy, the net-like pattern of the tattoo would expand across the stomach protectively, and figures god would sometimes protected women during childbirth, were tattooed on their thighs. All of this was meant to keep children healthy in the womb and protect both mother and child during pregnancy and childbirth. Hey, if you don’t have a doctor, you’ve got to do something, right?
