In the past few years, a new, modified subculture has evolved. They are called the hipsters, coming from a noun a hippie that stands for:

A person who opposes and rejects many of the conventional standards and customs of society, advocates extreme liberalism in sociopolitical attitudes and lifestyles.

The new, modern subculture the hipsters is:

A subculture of men and women typically in their 20′s and 30′s that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity, intelligence.

It was taken by Alfres Eisenstaedt on the Times Square. Nowadays many boyfriends are trying to kiss their girls in the same way not only in front of the grand V-J statue but around the world. It’s a never-ending competition.

Being immortal can be seen as one of them. Some may find a waxed figure of oneself to be flattering, other can find it creepy. When I took drugs for the first time; I felt completely ecstatic, had never experienced a similar feeling of joy and happiness in my entire life earlier. There was a sense of achievement; a feeling of finally having done something which made me feel as if I had done something extraordinary. I had a sense of accomplishment, feeling at par with my other mates who used to always talk about smoking drugs. Now I could also relate to them. All this started at the age of 13 when I had happened to try drugs for the first time in my life. By the age of 15 I had become an addict smoking and taking drugs everyday several times. Access to drugs was quite difficult when I was around 13, but slowly and slowly as I grew up and got to know more and more addicts, availability of drugs was never an issue. Once I got used to taking drugs, my entire life cycle would revolve around it. I was more concerned about, how, where, when and with whom I will be taking drugs and these things started gaining more importance in my life than anything else. Similar to all addicts during their addiction stage, I never used to find anything wrong with doing drugs; in fact like most of them, I too considered them to be the best thing that could happen to individuals. This is a stage when I was in complete disarray and my life had started going hay wire. I had started losing my hold on my studies, couldn’t concentrate resulting in poor grades; had lost interest in practically everything apart from drugs. I would just lie around whole day under the influence of drugs. I had accepted the situation as it was and would justify the state of the situation to myself that it would have been the same even if I hadn’t been doing drugs, so they have got nothing to do with my current state and there is nothing wrong in doing drugs. The state of my mind was in a mess and I used to only find solace in the company of other addicts only.

It is absolutely necessary to get a loved one who is addicted to drugs to enter any of the drug and alcohol treatment programs offered all over the country, simply because it is the only real way out for them.

Some circumstantiated enlightenment about the legends of soccer can be very easy to find and some of the names in this list have been added officially. Of course, this game had its own brilliance when superstars like Pele, Maradona, George Best, Garrincha and Zico used to play it but as the time past this game locked down the hearts of millions and can easily be called one of the finest games in the history of the world. I hope it will never lose its value and may this game lead in every era.

David Beckham

Super stars like David Beckham have shown this world the real love for the soccer. He himself is a creative midfielder who has already earned the reputation for scoring spectacular goals. One of his best goals which I remember is when he was slandered badly by the fans because he was not scoring goals and was missing some easy chances. But then he stood still and kicked the ball from the half centre line and the ball reached the goal with a hypersonic speed. After watching this goal’s video, I couldn’t even see the ball rolling its way between the goal posts. Then I heard the roar from the crowd and whole crowd was applauding Beckham. I was literally dazed when I saw his perfection for the soccer. Such types of gifted players are not so common and can be rarely seen, Beckham is one of them. He firstly joined the famous Manchester united youth club when he was just 11 years and since then he is an eminent player of this great game. He surely is one of the most talented true legends of soccer.

How Serbs Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?

A lot of drinking means a lot of fun in one special day. Not only that you can find festivals all around Ireland, but also all around the world. I wish I could participate some of these events, but sadly I live in Serbia and we don’t have Irish people here, we only have expensive Irish Pubs that nobody can afford (except Irish that we don’t have here). We also have one band Ortodox Celts, for some reason they think of themselves as Irish, even thou they have no real connection with Ireland, except all that drinking and playing music that resembles Irish drinking songs. We love this bend and for some reason feel connection to Irish people probably because of all that alcohol in both their and our lyrics. The most popular song of Ortodox Celts is the “Drinking Song”.(...)
