Not correct that "Giant Sequoias (Sequoiadendron giganteum), which only grow in Sierra Nevada, California…". They are endemic to the Sierras. true, but will grow elsewhere. For example, there are many in the Portland, OR, area and seem to thrive. There are also many Coast redwoods here (Portland).
